In May of 2021, the quiet area of Muddy Creek Township near Portersville, Pennsylvania, became the scene of a grim discovery. On the evening of May 17th, the body of 38-year-old David A. Hines of New Castle was found inside his SUV. The vehicle had come to rest down a small embankment off of East Portersville Road, near the entrance to a local mining facility.
