Kelvin Perez Montolvo, a 23-year-old male of Hispanic ethnicity from Hazle Township, tragically lost his life on December 12, 2021, in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He was pronounced dead at St. Luke’s Hospital Sacred Heart Campus at 5:25 p.m. that evening. The cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound, and the incident was ruled a homicide by the Lehigh County Coroner’s office.
The shooting occurred around 5:15 p.m. in the 800 block of North Elliger Street.
Another victim, Jose Salgado, 30, of Allentown, was also pronounced dead later that evening at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. Both deaths were investigated as homicides, and autopsies were scheduled to determine the exact cause of death.
Allentown police, along with the Lehigh County district attorney’s Homicide Task Force and the Lehigh County coroner’s office, launched an investigation into the double-shooting. The authorities have not released any suspects or arrests related to the case. They have, however, appealed to the public for any information that might help solve the case.
