Joseph Rice, a 33-year-old man from Sunbury, PA, tragically lost his life on September 25, 2022. According to reports, Rice was involved in an altercation that led to his death. The incident occurred just after 2 a.m. near Laughters Bar on South Third Street. During the altercation, Rice was seen wielding a machete, and Randy Easton, also from Sunbury, responded by shooting Rice multiple times. Rice succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
