On December 30, 2022, 49-year-old Vikki Wetzel, a dedicated employee at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA, tragically lost her life. She was walking to her car after finishing her shift when she was shot multiple times by an unknown assailant in the hospital's employee parking lot. The incident occurred around 5:04 p.m., and Wetzel was pronounced dead at the scene.
