Kevin Bartholomew Brame, a 31-year-old male of African American ethnicity, was a dedicated officer with the Dayton Police Department. On November 1, 1999, Officer Brame was tragically shot and killed while returning his two children to his estranged wife after a visitation. He was ambushed and fatally shot in the neck as he attempted to enter his vehicle, which was parked in the driveway of his residence on Cherry Drive in Dayton, Ohio.
