Jeff Zack, a 44-year-old businessman from Akron, Ohio, was shot and killed on June 16, 2001. He was a former Israeli paratrooper and had a reputation as a womanizer and someone who disregarded the law. He stopped at a gas pump on Home Avenue to refuel when a man on a motorcycle pulled up beside him and fired a single shot through the passenger-side window, killing Zack instantly.
