On March 16, 2006, Antoine M. Twan Patterson, a 25-year-old Black male from Whitehall, Ohio, was fatally shot in the foyer area of 4218 Rickenbacker Avenue, Yearling Green Apartments. Patterson, who was leaving a friend's apartment, was confronted by an unknown individual, leading to an argument that escalated into a physical altercation. During the fight, Patterson was shot multiple times and later succumbed to his injuries at Grant Medical Center.
