Russell D. King Jr., a 17-year-old Caucasian male from Chardon, Ohio, tragically lost his life on February 27, 2012. He was one of three students killed in a school shooting at Chardon High School. The shooter, 17-year-old T.J. Lane, opened fire in the school's cafeteria with a .22-caliber pistol, also wounding three other students. Russell was studying alternative energy at Auburn Career Center and was known for his love of the outdoors and his close-knit family.
