Carlos M. Hardiman Jr., a 19-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on March 20, 2012, in Columbus, Ohio. He was a passenger in his sister's car, which was parked in front of a home on the 800 block of Forest Street on the South Side of Columbus when he was shot in the head. Despite being rushed to Nationwide Children's Hospital and later transferred to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center, Hardiman succumbed to his injuries early the next morning.
