On December 21, 2011, Mujahed Badruddeen, a 56-year-old resident of Columbus, Ohio, died under circumstances that were eventually ruled a homicide. Originally named Donald Lynn Gordon, Badruddeen had changed his name, possibly for personal or religious reasons. He was buried in Dayton National Cemetery.
