Deandre Tiffany Edwards, a 28-year-old transgender woman, was tragically shot and killed on June 26, 2014, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her body was discovered by a sanitation worker near Tuxedo Place and May Street in Walnut Hills. The investigation revealed that Deandre had been picked up by Quamar Edwards, a 25-year-old man, for sex, but Quamar backed out and an argument ensued. During the altercation, Quamar shot Deandre and fled the scene with her purse.
