Carlos Charlie Rivera, a 44-year-old man from Cleveland, OH, tragically died on July 21, 2014, after being shot during a carjacking incident. Rivera was in his BMW at an intersection on the 3100 block of West 46th Street when gunmen approached him. He managed to escape to a nearby house, where he was found by the homeowners and subsequently taken to Cleveland MetroHealth Medical Center. Despite efforts to save him, Rivera succumbed to his injuries the following day.
