On November 19, 2014, Abdullah Nagi Mahdi, a 29-year-old male of Middle Eastern descent, was tragically killed in a shootout at his store, Reemas Fashions, located at 2608 South Avenue in Youngstown, OH. Mahdi, who was the owner of the store, was shot in the head during an exchange of gunfire with Larry McDonald, a 19-year-old suspect who had entered the store with the intent to rob it.
