On November 28, 2014, 14-year-old Destinee Booker, a freshman at South High School in Columbus, OH, tragically died after being shot in the head. She was taken to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center, where she remained in critical condition before succumbing to her injuries. Destinee was best friends with the niece of a woman who lived at the house where the shooting occurred.
