William Sarver, a 57-year-old man from Dayton, Ohio, tragically died on June 6, 2016. Sarver was talking to friends in a vehicle on Riverview Avenue when Deonte Snowden, a 36-year-old man, approached and began yelling at him. The situation escalated quickly when Snowden pulled out a gun and shot Sarver once in the stomach. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Sarver succumbed to his injuries.
