Arven Hunt, a 70-year-old male of unspecified ethnicity from Dayton, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on June 27, 2016. He was born on November 24, 1945, in Troy, Ohio, and was a graduate of Roosevelt High School and Central State University. Arven was an avid bowler and a former employee of the U.S. Postal Service and Outdoor Sports Warehouse. He was also a long-time member of St. Margaret's Episcopal Church.
Arven's death was one of eight unsolved murders in Dayton in 2016. The Dayton Police Department has been working diligently to solve these cases, but despite their efforts, many remain unresolved. The community and law enforcement continue to seek justice for the victims and their families.
There have been no arrests, suspects, or litigations directly related to Arven Hunt's death. The investigation into his murder remains open, and the Dayton Police Department has asked for patience from the families of the victims as they continue their work.
Arven is remembered fondly by his family and friends, including his son Trey J. Hines and former wife Vanessa Hines. His funeral services were held on July 6, 2016, at Thomas Funeral Home & Crematory in Trotwood, Ohio. The family extended special thanks to Atty.
