On August 3, 2016, Todd Berus, a 25-year-old male from Hamilton, Ohio, was tragically killed in a drive-by shooting. The incident occurred near Maggard's Grocery & Carryout on Central Avenue. Berus was in a vehicle with Orlando Gilbert, who was also killed in the attack. Hamilton Police confirmed that both victims were specifically targeted, and the shooting was not random.
