On a cold winter night in Detroit, the lives of two young people were tragically cut short. In the early hours of January 28, 2012, the bodies of 20-year-old Tailar Davis and her 19-year-old boyfriend, John Johnson, were discovered inside a blue Ford Taurus parked on Richton Street. Davis, an African-American female, was found in the driver's seat, while Johnson was in the passenger seat. Both had been murdered.
