Shannon Marie Meyer, a 37-year-old woman from Akron, Ohio, tragically died on February 24, 2017, at her home. She was born on May 29, 1979, and was the daughter of John W. and Carol Graf Meyer. However, he later pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of involuntary manslaughter as part of an agreement with prosecutors.
In October 2017, Donald Alexander Sr. was sentenced to 13 years in state prison for the shooting death of his wife. Summit County Common Pleas Judge Joy Malek-Oldfield issued the sentence after Alexander pleaded guilty to manslaughter with a gun specification, a felony of the first degree.
