On April 26, 2009, Diane Mitchell-McMillan, a 55-year-old resident of Akron, Ohio, was found unresponsive in her home on Jesse Avenue. The tragic incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. when unknown suspects drove by and fired shots into her house, striking her. Despite an ongoing investigation by the Akron Police Department, her case remains unsolved, and authorities have yet to identify the perpetrators responsible for her death.
