Donte A Moorer, a 39-year-old African American male from Columbus, OH, tragically lost his life on March 21, 2017. He was found dead alongside Janelle Reese, a 33-year-old African American female, in a residence on East 19th Avenue. Both victims had sustained gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene. The incident was reported by a U.S. Postal carrier who noticed signs of criminal activity on the front porch and alerted the police.
The Columbus Division of Police responded to
the call and discovered the lifeless bodies of Moorer and Reese inside the home. Despite extensive investigations, the case remains unsolved, and no arrests have been made. The Columbus Police Department, along with the Ohio Attorney General's Office, continues to seek information from the public to help solve this double homicide.
