Lucia Romero, a 42-year-old woman from Columbus, OH, tragically died on June 8, 2017. She was shot by her estranged husband, Fernando Romero, 43, at their family home. Lucia had filed for divorce just two days prior to her death. The incident occurred after a heated argument, during which Fernando confronted Lucia behind her apartment and pulled out a handgun. Lucia was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to her injuries the following day.
