On September 18, 2017, 27-year-old Charles Pargo, a male of African American ethnicity, was fatally shot in his Youngstown, OH home. The incident occurred during a domestic dispute over the custody of Pargo's three-week-old son. Pargo's girlfriend, the mother of the child, had left the house with her other children, leaving Pargo holding the baby. Pargo's girlfriend's parents, Louis Littlejohn and his wife, came to retrieve the baby.
