A forty-seven-year-old man, Carlus Wade, was shot and killed in Detroit. The incident occurred in the afternoon on January 20, 2012. Wade was walking with another individual on Margareta Street, near Greenview Street, when the person he was with produced a handgun and shot him multiple times. The shooter fled the scene immediately after the attack.
Family members, devastated by the loss, have pleaded with the public for any information that might lead to the apprehension of the person responsible. Wade's father expressed his belief that there were likely witnesses to the crime, especially given his son's notable height of six feet, four inches. He, along with Crime Stoppers of Michigan, has urged anyone with knowledge of the events to come forward. A cash reward has been offered for information that results in an arrest.
The suspect is described as a Black male, estimated to be between nineteen and twenty-two years old, standing approximately six feet, two inches tall and weighing around 190 pounds. He was reported to have a goatee and was last seen wearing a dark blue skullcap and a three-quarter-length blue jacket. At the time of the reports, no arrests had been made in connection with the shooting.
