Diamond was caught in the crossfire between Jonathan Green, her uncle, and Taureen Rice. According to court documents, Jonathan Green and Rice were involved in an argument that escalated into a shootout. In an attempt to protect his niece, Jonathan Green pushed Diamond out of the way, but she was fatally shot by Rice.
