The investigation into Sadari's death led to the arrest of Machello Jackson, who was charged with aggravated murder. Jackson entered an Alford Plea to the charges, acknowledging that there was enough evidence to convict him, while still maintaining his innocence. He was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 20 years.
