On June 20, 2018, 9-year-old Saniyah Nicholson, a young girl from Maple Heights, Cleveland, OH, tragically lost her life. She was sitting in a car with her older sister while their mother went into a boxing gym to retrieve their brother. During this time, a car full of people drove by and fired a gun at a group of individuals walking near Lee Road and Harvard Avenue. The group returned gunfire, and a stray bullet hit Saniyah in the head, killing her instantly.
