Shawn Prude, a 20-year-old man from Akron, OH, was tragically shot and killed on November 20, 2018. The incident occurred at the Family Food & Deli convenience store on South Arlington Street. Prude was found lying in the road with multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect in the case, Devon Williams, a 21-year-old Akron resident, was arrested shortly after the shooting. Williams was charged with murder and faced a court arraignment shortly after his arrest
