On September 5, 2019, Marquis Derrell Perry, a 26-year-old Black male, was found fatally shot inside a vehicle at 701 Dunbar Drive in Akron, Ohio. The incident occurred around 12:29 a.m., and Perry was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:07 a.m. A 31-year-old man in the front passenger seat was also shot and taken to Cleveland Clinic Akron General with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The case remains unsolved, and the Akron Police Department has been actively seeking information
