Dave Brown, a 73-year-old male of unspecified ethnicity, was tragically shot and killed on December 2, 2019, while working at the Wash-N-Dry Laundromat on Broadway Avenue in Maple Heights, Ohio. Brown, a Vietnam veteran, attempted to intervene when Carl V. Sanders, 32, arrived at the laundromat with his girlfriend and her cousin. Sanders opened fire, and Brown was fatally shot while trying to protect the two women, who fortunately were not injured.
