Qua’Lek Shelton, a 15-year-old African American male from Dayton, Ohio, tragically died on February 16, 2020. Shelton was a rising track star and a student at Paul Laurence Dunbar Early College High School. He was known for his confidence and determination, often speaking about his aspirations to compete in the Olympics. On the day of his death, Shelton and another teenager were shot by someone in a vehicle while they were walking on Catalpa Drive.
