DaVierre DeAndre Hale, an 18-year-old Black male from Akron, Ohio, tragically lost his life on August 17, 2020. He was fatally shot inside a silver Nissan near McKinley Avenue and Talbot Avenue in the East Akron neighborhood. The incident occurred around 6:55 p.m., and despite being rushed to Summa Akron City Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries at 11:38 p.m. The Summit County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed that he died from multiple gunshot wounds.
