On August 19, 2020, 22-year-old Keyshawn Turner was fatally shot in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. Turner, who was Black, was shot in the chest at around 8:45 p.m. outside the public library at 8th and Walnut streets. He was taken to UC Medical Center but did not survive his injuries.

Shortly after the shooting, police arrested 25-year-old Quantez Wilcox and charged him with murder. Wilcox was held on a $1 million bond. According to police, Wilcox shot Turner during a confrontation that occur ...
