On May 24, 2021, Jamie Danielle Lavender, a 30-year-old woman from Springfield, Ohio, was tragically shot and killed in West Jefferson, Ohio. She was one of four victims found at an apartment on Jackson Street. The other victims included Andrew Thomas Swindall, 45, of West Jefferson; Shawn A. Wright, 45, of London, Ohio; and Leon Billy Daniels, 38, also of London, Ohio. The incident was reported to authorities after a passerby called 911 around 5:30 p.m.
