On June 20, 2021, Courtney Evans, a 41-year-old man from Cincinnati, OH, was found dead on Elmore Street near Borden Street. He had been shot to death, and two other individuals were injured in the incident. The police responded to a call for multiple people shot around 12:30 a.m. and discovered Evans dead from a gunshot wound. Another victim with a gunshot wound was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, while a third victim arrived at the hospital later for treatment.
