Makenzi Marie Ridley, a 17-year-old girl from Columbus, Ohio, tragically lost her life on June 24, 2021. She was shot outside the Far East Community Center in Columbus, where she had been attending a gathering. Makenzi was not the intended target of the shooting, but she was fatally wounded by a bullet that hit her neck. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, she was pronounced dead at Mount Carmel East Hospital shortly after arriving.
