Marcus Payne, a 27-year-old African American male from Columbus, OH, tragically died on September 11, 2021, from injuries sustained in a shooting incident that occurred on August 30, 2021. Payne and his brother, Mark Payne, had confronted a group of individuals they suspected of breaking into their car. During the confrontation, one of the suspects allegedly pulled out a gun and fired, hitting Marcus Payne in the head. Payne was driven to Grant Medical Center by his brother but succumbed to his ...
