Cornelius Foster Jr., a 16-year-old African American male from Cincinnati, Ohio, tragically passed away on September 4, 2021, following a shooting incident in Mt. Airy. Cornelius, affectionately known as "Lil Korn," was a sophomore at Dohn Community High School and had aspirations of becoming an entertainer in the music industry. He was deeply loved by his family and friends, who remember him for his vibrant personality and passion for music.
On the night of September 3, 2021, Cornelius
was one of three victims who arrived at local hospitals after a shooting in the 4400 block of Ammon Avenue. Unfortunately, Cornelius succumbed to his injuries the following day. The Cincinnati Police Department's Homicide Unit launched an investigation into the incident, which remains ongoing.
In connection with Cornelius's death, 18-year-old J'oni Travis was arrested and charged with murder. Travis was taken into custody by the Lexington Police Department, with assistance from the Cincinnati Police Department's Crime Gun Intelligence Unit.
