On November 18, 2021, Dominique Davis, a 30-year-old man from Toledo, OH, was tragically shot and killed in his home on Caledonia Street. The incident occurred in the afternoon, and Davis was found dead inside his house after being shot multiple times. His death was ruled a homicide by the Toledo Police Department . This marked the 62nd homicide in Toledo for the year 2021, surpassing the previous record of 61 homicides set in 2020.
