On November 22, 2021, 14-year-old Jaylen Pryor, an eighth-grade student at Robinson Elementary School in Toledo, OH, was fatally shot while sitting in a parked car on Woodland Avenue. Around midnight, a black SUV pulled up alongside the car and a gunman opened fire, hitting Jaylen multiple times. He was rushed to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center but later pronounced dead from his injuries. The shooter fled the scene, and no arrests have been made in connection with the case.
