Shatara Liddell, a 33-year-old woman from Cleveland, Ohio, tragically lost her life on June 11, 2022. She was fatally shot in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood of Cleveland around 2:10 a.m. According to police reports, Liddell was found lying in the middle of the street with gunshot wounds to her neck, back, and arm. She was later pronounced dead at University Hospital.
The incident occurred following an argument between Liddell and 22-year-old Gabreon Phifer, also of Cleveland.
Witnesses reported that the argument turned physical, and family members attempted to de-escalate the situation by escorting Liddell outside. However, Phifer followed and shot her multiple times before fleeing the scene. Phifer was arrested shortly after and charged with aggravated murder. He was arraigned at the Cuyahoga County Municipal Court and is awaiting further legal proceedings.
