On August 1, 2022, Nicholas Scott Dowler, a 34-year-old male of White ethnicity from Columbus, OH, tragically lost his life. Nicholas was involved in a shooting incident that took place outside the Old Landmark Tavern on Rumsey Road on the city's South Side. The incident occurred around 9:40 p.m., and multiple 911 calls reported that the Avengers Motorcycle Club was involved, with several people suffering from gunshot wounds.

Nicholas was one of the individuals who was taken to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center with gunshot injuries. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries later that night at 10:32 p.m. Another victim, 50-year-old Glen Clark III, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following the incident, Columbus police conducted a search at the Franklinton-area headquarters of the motorcycle club for evidence. A grand jury later indicted Brody Sieber, a 39-year-old man who was also injured in the shooting, on two counts of murder, two counts of felonious assault, and one count of having weapons under disability. Sieber is believed to be responsible for the deaths of Nicholas Dowler and Glen Clark III.

The investigation into the shooting and the subsequent legal proceedings have been ongoing. Authorities have requested a warrant for Sieber's arrest, and anyone with information about the case or Sieber's whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Columbus Police Department or Central Ohio Crime Stoppers.

This tragic event has deeply affected the community and the families of the victims, leaving many to seek justice and closure.
