Adrianna Kiri Taylor, a 23-year-old Black woman from Cleveland, Ohio, was remembered by her family as a hard worker with an unmatched energy and an infectious smile. Known as "Dri" to her loved ones, she was described by her aunt as a "sweetheart, a beautiful girl." Her family said she was always the life of the party and was deeply loved by her friends and coworkers, who were like a second family to her.
Adrianna’s family last heard from her on October 8, 2022.
She was living in Cleveland with her boyfriend, Anthony M. Kennedy, at the time. On November 13, she was officially reported missing to the Cleveland police. The search for her came to a tragic end on Thanksgiving Day, November 24, when her body was discovered buried in the backyard of a home in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Pittsburgh. An autopsy determined that Adrianna had died from a gunshot wound to the head, and her death was ruled a homicide.
The investigation, led by the Cleveland Division of Police and the FBI, revealed that Adrianna’s body had been placed in a tote bag, which was then put inside a larger construction bag and buried under wet and dry concrete. Police were reportedly tipped off by a neighbor whose security camera recorded suspicious activity at the Wilkinsburg residence, which was connected to Kennedy's sister. Investigators secured an arrest warrant for Kennedy on a charge of aggravated murder and searched both the Pennsylvania property and the Cleveland duplex where he had lived with Adrianna.
On November 30, 2022, Anthony M. Kennedy, 43, turned himself in to the Allegheny County Police Department. He was taken into custody to face charges in Ohio. Investigators believed he had killed Adrianna in Cleveland in October before transporting her body to Pennsylvania.
In June 2023, Kennedy pleaded guilty to aggravated murder, aggravated robbery, tampering with evidence, and offenses against a human corpse. He was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 20 years. The case is now closed.
