Fannie Manring Lawson, a 37-year-old woman of European descent, tragically lost her life on December 25, 1929, in Germanton, North Carolina. She was one of the victims in a horrific familicide committed by her husband, Charles Davis Lawson. The Lawson family, consisting of Fannie, her husband, and their seven children, was well-known in the community as tenant tobacco farmers who had recently purchased their own farm.
