Kenneth Godfrey, a 29-year-old male, tragically lost his life on January 17, 1987, in Shelby, North Carolina. He was one of three men killed in a mass shooting at the Shelby III Bookstore, an adult bookstore known to attract a gay clientele. The incident also left two other men seriously injured.
