Alan Joseph Stevens, a 24-year-old white male, tragically lost his life on December 3, 2006, in Charlotte, North Carolina. Alan was born on September 25, 1982, in Elmira, New York. He was a mechanic and a proud father to his children, Destin Stevens and Sierra Stevens, both of Charlotte. Alan's life was cut short in a violent incident at his residence on Firwood Lane.
On the night of his death, Alan was at home with friends when there was a knock on the door.
Upon opening the door, he was confronted by a black male armed with a handgun who attempted to gain entry. Alan bravely fought with the intruder and managed to push him outside. However, during the struggle, shots were fired, and Alan was found lying just outside the doorway, having been fatally shot. The police were called to the scene, but the assailant had already fled.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department launched a homicide investigation into Alan's death. Despite their efforts, the case remains unsolved, and no arrests have been made. The police have offered a reward for information leading to an arrest, hoping that someone with knowledge of the incident will come forward. Alan's family continues to seek justice and closure for the loss of their loved one.
