Minnie Edwards, a 67-year-old woman from Chatham, NC, tragically passed away on August 30, 2011. The circumstances surrounding her death were determined to be a murder-suicide. Authorities discovered that Minnie Edwards and her husband, Earl Lee Edwards, 65, were found dead in their home on Joe's Drive in northern Chatham County near Chapel Hill. According to the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office, it appeared that Earl Edwards took his own life with a firearm after killing his wife.
