Brianna Nicole Jones, a 16-year-old African American girl, tragically lost her life on December 31, 2013, in Louisburg, North Carolina. She was found dead alongside her mother, Akesia Michelle Jones Toney, in their home on West River Road. The incident occurred when Akesia's estranged husband, Ricky Junior Toney, and his 16-year-old brother, Joey Kearney, broke into the house.
