Anthony Tyrell Miller, a 33-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on March 23, 2014, in Kinston, North Carolina. Despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries en route to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
The investigation into Miller's death
revealed that he had been fatally shot. Authorities quickly identified a suspect in the case: Sadequin Alif Anderson, an 18-year-old male whose last known address was 205 W. Highland Ave. A murder warrant was issued for Anderson, and the Kinston Department of Public Safety launched a search to locate him.

Miller's funeral was held on March 29, 2014, at Greater Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, with Elder Tyshaun Wilson officiating. He was laid to rest in Mills Memorial Garden. Miller is survived by his mother, Annette Edwards, and his siblings, Sekiethia Miller Dove, Letercia Edwards, Lashonda Nowlin, and Latherio Nowlin. The community mourned the loss of a young life cut short and continued to seek answers and justice for Anthony Tyrell Miller.
