Corey Lamont Jackson, a 35-year-old African American male, was found shot in an apartment at 4549 Hargrove Road in Raleigh, North Carolina, on April 24, 2014. He was discovered unconscious by police officers and was subsequently transported to WakeMed, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The investigation revealed that Jackson's death was not a random act, as he and the suspect, Jerome Harris, knew each other prior to the incident.
